Finasteride

Finasteride usually known as Proscar or propecia, is an oral medication used to reduce the prostate enlargement and also to stop the hairloss. This medicine works by decreasing the level of DHT which is a hormone that is thought to cause miniaturization, being one of the main reasons of male pattern hair loss. It is of utmost important to mention the fact that women must avoid this medicine due to the fact that there is a high risk of birth defects in male fetus.
As with other medications, there are some side effects associated with the usage of Finasteride. Even though 96- 97 % use Finasteride without experiencing any kind of side effect, in some rare cases the sexual desire can be affected and the amount of semen released can be less. Minoxidil

Minoxidil is a medication that belongs to the group of vasodilators that can be used as a topical solution or as a foam. It helps to grow out hair in male pattern baldness. Women with thinning hair may also use it. A person under the age of 18 shall avoid this product. Minoxidil is also known as Rogaine or Regaine.
