Treatment With WorldClinica

Applying for a medical treatment with WorldClinica is very simple. Below is a step to walk you through your medical trip to Turkey.

 

Step 1. Enquiry

- Once you make an enquiry at WorldClinica you will be contacted by one of our team members by email and/or by phone or Whatsapp. You will be requested to share some pictures of your head in different angles for an initial evaluation by our medical team.

- As soon as your evaluation has been completed, you will receive a detailed feedback as well as a final quote and further details regarding the procedure and your stay in Turkey.

- Once you are ready to proceed and have made up your mind on a date, we will secure your preferred treatment date.

- Our team member will walk you through the details of your medical package and travel arrangements. We will arrange your transfer and accommodation and 24- hours assistance is provided during your entire stay in Turkey. Your will furthermore be provided with an itinerary of your trip.

Step 2. Your arrival

- Your personal driver we be waiting for you at the airport arrivals with a sign displaying your name and then drive you directly to the hospital or to your accommodation depending on your flight arrival time.

- Your patient coordinator will welcome you at the reception as soon as you arrive to the hospital and will be available during your entire stay in Turkey.

Step 3. Blood test

- Blood tests and analysis are carried out before planned surgery. You will also be informed about conditions that could affect the treatment.

Step 4. Consultation

- Prior to your consultation, photographs will be taken from all angles of the head. At the consultation the surgeon will discuss the procedure and give you a physical examination. You will have the opportunity to ask anything you have in your mind regarding your procedure and express any concerns you may have. Furthermore, you will be asked about your medical history.

Step 5. Hairline

- The new hairline design is determined through a detailed consultation with your surgeon. The ultimate goal is to create a natural looking and dense result. Your hairline will be shaved to a measurement of 1-2 mm in length. One of the most important part of the procedure is the actual design of your new hairline. The density, symmetry, position and the shape of the hairline are important factors to focus on. It is of utmost importance to create a hairline that looks natural and that is furthermore properly laid out to blend with your face.

- Our medical team takes the following points into consideration when designing the new hairline:

• The age
• The facial features and dimensions
• The donor area capacity
• Possible future hairloss

Step 6. The surgery day

- You will be greeted by one of our staff member as soon as you arrive to the hospital. You will be asked to fill out some basic forms while the medical team prepare for your surgery. Afterward, you will be escorted into one of our state-of-the-art surgery rooms. Your surgery begins with injection of local anesthesia into your donor area.

Step 7. Extraction

- Your hair follicles are extracted individually one by one with a device called micromotor. The diameter of the punch varies usually between 0,5-0,7 mm. One single graft may contain up to 4 hairs or even more in rare cases. The rotating speed of micromotor is very important and the selection of the speed is depended on the tissue and the caliber (thickness) of the follicle. Up to roughly 5000 grafts may be extracted in one single session.

Step 8. Incisions

- This phase starts with injection of local anesthesia on the recipient area. The surgeon then creates tiny incisions with special blades. This is the most crucial part of the procedure in which the appropriate angle and the level of density is determined. This phase takes approximately 1-1,5 hours.

Step 9. Lunchbreak

- Lunch will be provided after the incision part.

Step 10. Implantation

- The extracted grafts will be implanted into the pre-made incisions. The surgeon examine the depth, inclination and the angle of the growth of your hair before implanting the grafts. İn order to implant the follicles, precision instruments that are called implantor are used. This part of the procedure takes approximately 3 hours.

Step 11. Washing & Post-op

- Your first washing will be performed 2 days after your procedure. You will be provided with a medical package and post-operative instructions before your return.

Step 12. Return

- You will be picked up by your personal driver to take you to the airport looking and feeling tremendous!

Step 13. Regrowth process

- The transplanted hair will continue to grow for a couple of weeks before it falls out 1,1-5 after the procedure. Your hair will start to grow out thicker and stronger again approximately 3 months after the surgery. You will see the final results 12-16 months following your surgery. We will follow up on your recovery in a minimum of 12 months period after your procedure.
